Conventional and Organic Ag Inputs and Agronomy

For over 35 years NOVA AG has worked to improve crop production.

We take a three-step approach:

Grow
Roots
Pump
Nutrients
Drive
Photosynthesis

Working in conventional, organic, biological and non-fumigation fields our goal is simple: To help farmers reach their highest quality yield per acre of soil and per acre foot of water.

Complete Fertility Approach

Nova Ag proudly offers access to over 130 high-performance product formulations. We also provide growers the ability to create custom blends tailored to their unique soil fertility needs – delivering precision, performance, and results.

Our core business is humic acid and biofertilizer production, however it takes a complete fertility approach to produce consistent results.

Our specialty is the development of precision fertilizer and production systems that give our customers the highest yields and quality. We pride ourselves in our product support system.

Functional Nano-carbons & Regenerative AG

NOVA AG has been a scientific pioneer for over three decades in soil health, crop fertility, and soil agronomy. We have created many novel products and taken a systematic approach, helping our growers with functional nano-carbons, plant extracts’ natural metabolic signatures, NPK blends, and three complete lines of trace minerals (soil, foliar, and organic).

Bottom line: we supercharge the regenerative ag intelligence of soils and plants. We create sustained abiotic protection, and strengthen crop yields and quality, along with establishing key benchmarks in regenerative ag.

Increased Nutrient Use Efficacy

Thermophilic functional carbons fuse soil chemistry and biology. It strengthens soil health and mitigates the soil imbalances that commonly reduce plant absorption of applied nutrients. 15%-20%-15% represents general percentile increases in NPK-use efficiencies that can be expected by the presence and supplementation of humic substances.

Higher rates of nutrient-cycling reduces environmental loss of these widely-applied crop nutrients and ultimately presents the possibility for overall reductions in fertilizer application.

Increased Water Use Efficacy

Our functional nano-carbons create organomineral complexes (aggregates) and micropores. Research shows that roots, water, and nutrients reside in micropores. This physical-chemical dynamic causes the macropores to become oxygenated.

In turn, this helps natural cycling within soil, water, and plants. These dynamics enhance root health, root exudates, and microbial exudates. They create stable and sustained carbon sequestration.

Reduced Tillage

Creating balanced micro and macropores reduces compaction. In addition, glomulin is a byproduct of the interaction between the soil microbiome and humic substances. This compound is responsible for soil aggregation or “clumping” which ultimately improves soil porosity.

While the greater amount of micro-pore space within soil aggregates improves WUE, the higher level of surrounding macro-pore space improves gas exchange and can lower the risk of compaction in reduced tillage systems.

Plant Extracts & Regenerative AG

NOVA AG bio-isolation and separation technology reflects the culmination of three decades of extraction-applied sciences. These products fuse chemistry and biology for soil and plant metabolisms. We have been a part of a growing bio-revolutionary trend for over three decades.

Crop Rotation & Inter-cropping

Allelopathy describes the process by which plants communicate and interact with one another. Both crop-rotation and inter-cropping practices present methods by which plants of different species can have synergistic and often beneficial allelopathic responses to one another such as leaving residual compounds in the soil or breaking disease cycles between seasons.

Plant-extracts are a means by which the power of these mutualistic interactions can be harnessed without the time-consumption of crop rotation or the spatial and logistical limitations of inter-cropping.

Reliance on Crop Protection

As both regulations and pest/pathogen resistance to synthetic crop protection chemistries continue to rise, so does the need for more long-term/sustainable solutions.

Some of the most promising methods involve priming adaptive plant mechanisms, supporting the plant microbiome, and incorporating defensive allelopathic interactions; all of which can be accomplished by the supplementation of certain plant extracts.

Increased Bio-diversity

Increasing biodiversity on an acre relates to both plant species and microbiology species. Higher biodiversity on these taxonomic levels has shown reduction in the prevalence of pests, more similar to what is expected from a large/flourishing ecosystem rather than a mono-crop field where pathogens can quickly spread from one plant-host to the next.

Again, plant extracts provide a means to directly inject the benefits of biodiversity into the soil and within the actual cropping season.
